Huge Wave

This is not my dream. Just want to share it.

Al was at a beach playing catch with a friend using a small white ball. The beach however was filled with black oilspill. The ball got oily and very slippery that it became almost impossible for Al to catch.

Suddenly a huge wave came. It was so big, it covered part of the moon on the sky. As it drew closer, Al started to run…he climbed a stair, managed to dodge the wave before it finally subside.

Al woke up at dawn.

Friend’s Terrible Illness

One of my best friend, Khairul Az hosted a party. During his welcoming speech, he announced that he had been diagnosed of a terminal illness with only a couple of months left to live. Everyone was shocked. Khairul however refuses to reveal his illness, and the guests began to speculate. Being his best friend, I thought i could get the detail from the horse’s mouth himself, but then he was too busy to see me.

I learned that he finally told his illness to another of our friend, Ramdzie but Ramdzie could not tell us either because he had already made the promise to keep Khairul’s secret intact.

I soon discovered his illness..but i could not remember it now (i remembered it when i woke up from the dream..it was a scientific name and a common illness).

There was also a dream about walking in a very large shopping mall. but the details were all lost.

Car & Old Friend

I was driving a 405/406 Peugeot (I used to drive gold-coloured 406 before). In the dream, the car was stolen, but was found again a fews days later. In this dream an old friend was involved but the one I remembered the most was Norzalizan Ishak (a fellow supplier from Arachem Sdn. Bhd.)

In the dream, I also saw 2 units of SEGWAY personal transporter lying on the floor, supplied by a local company.

I rode one of the units at what looked like an office lobby (the Weld??). The ride was fantastic. (FYI, I went to Amsterdam last April to get to know more about Segway and the possibilities of becoming their distributies…we lost the bid last May).

There’s more, but i could’nt remember the details.

Meeting

I was chairing a staff meeting. A classroom-like environment. very noisy.

In the other room, a live football telecast was showing, with more noise from the viewers.

The crowd in my room were getting restless because they wanted to watch the game. I was aching to get their attention as whatever i had said seems to fall on deaf ears.

So, in the act of desperation…I stood up, and talk louder…this time instead of me talking…i asked plenty of survey-like questions so that the crowd could participate.

It worked…at least until i woke up.

Meeting A Famous Personality

I was inside a glass elevator (the ones you normally see inside large shopping malls where the walls are transparent). I was alone inside the elevator, going down from the top floor. As it slowly descend, I could see a figure I instantly recognized. He was waiting for my ride to reach him.

It was absolutely no mistake that this person was the ex-Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammad (for those not familiar with this name, Tun Dr. Mahathir served as Malaysia’s premier from 1980-2003. I think he is still the longest serving leader in this region).

Tun Dr. Mahathir was alone (no wife, no bodyguard), and was wearing a bluish-grey Indonesian batik shirt with a dark pair of pants. Surprisingly I kept my cool as he entered. He took a short glance at me and then positioned himself towards the door right in front of me.

Naturally I greeted him.

“Selamat pagi… Assalamualaikum Tun”, I said this as I brought my hands forward to shake his hand.

He smiled and said “Waalaikumsalam”. He return my handshake but our eyes did not meet.

“Tun sihat? (How are you Tun?), was the next question that i could only think of. Again he smiled and nodded in agreement. I wanted to ask more but the lift has reach the floor I wanted to go.

The door opened, I gave a simple goodbye smile at him and walked away.

The End.

** I woke up soon aftwerwards. It was still dark outside (I think it was between 4-5 am), so i went back to sleep.

Water and Fish

We were searching for something in a pond. the water was about knee high deep. With me was my two daughters and an old man. He was sort of the wise man in this search. While searching, i used my blue adidas sleeveless shirt as fishing net. We caught beautiful fishes (i remember catching yellow and blue/red striped fish). We saw turtles, octopuses and a starfish among others.

But all those were not the items we were looking for.

Blood

I was gargling with tap water. Then, I started to smell real blood.

I spit, and what came out was plenty of thick blood.

I checked to see if i was bleeding inside my mouth. No bleeding, so i gargled again…yet there was still blood.

I did this several times in my dream.

Ada apa dengan mimpi?

Saya kurang pasti berapa kerap anda bermimpi dan memang tidak tahu berapa kali mimpi setiap kali tidur yang boleh dianggap normal. Cerdik pandai pernah merumuskan yang secara purata kita bermimpi antara 6-8 kali semalam, walaupun hanya satu atau dua mimipi sahaja yang mampu kita ingati tatkala kita terjaga.

Saya tidak pernah menganggap mimpi satu permainan tidur atau satu kejadian sia-sia semenjak dahulu lagi. Pada saya mimpi adalah kejadian tuhan yang sangat unik dan penuh teka-teki. Adalah satu kecacatan pada pencipta sekiranya mimpi itu ciptaan yang sia-sia dan seterusnya membenarkan pula iblis dan syaitan menguasai mimpi seseorang.

Secara peribadi, belum ada sebuah dokumen lagi yang boleh memberikan takrifan mimpi secara ilmiah dan komprehensif. Saya sendiri pun tidak pasti samada ia boleh dilakukan kerana setiap mimpi itu terlalu peribadi. Yang mungkin boleh dilakukan ialah mengkategorikan mimpi mengikut kriteria-kriteria tertentu seperti waktu bermimpi serta maklumat mimpi yang lebih tepat dan terkini.

Berikut adalah cadangan saya untuk mendapat mimpi yang ‘lebih bermakna’:

Ambil wuduk sebelum tidur. Paling tidak cuci muka, tangan dan kaki (ironinya amalan ini telah dipupuk semenjak zaman nenek moyang kita lagi)
Berniat agar mimpi anda nanti adalah sesuatu yang bermakna. Niat adalah satu proses perbuatan yang mudah tetapi sering disalah tafsir.
Sediakan pen dan kertas/buku nota berhampiran tempat tidur. Ini memudahkan anda merekodkan mimpi sejurus bangun daripada tidur. Mimpi paling tepat jika direkod dalam tempoh 1 jam daripada waktu terjaga (90%). Ketepatannya akan menurun sehingga 10% pada penghujung hari sekiranya ia tidak direkodkan.
Jangan memikirkan sesuatu perkara terlalu mendalam. Cuba tenangkan fikiran sebelum tidur.
Tidur seperti biasa.
Apabila terjaga, rekodkan mimpi seteliti mungkin. Jika anda mahu, cuba tafsirkan mengikut pengetahuan dan pengalaman hidup anda. Anda mungkin boleh menulis beberapa kemungkinan tafsiran.
Simpan ‘diari mimpi’ anda. sekali sekala cuba baca kembali catatan mimpi anda dari semasa ke semasa.

Saya beri jaminan, setiap mimpi anda ada maknanya, dan sekiranya dipraktikkan anda mungkin boleh menjadi seorang pentafsir mimpi yang hebat!
